Toi Nichelle studied at San Francisco State University and received her B.A. degree in English: Creative Writing and Poetry, and studied abroad at the University of East Anglia while residing in Norwich, England. Toi Nichelle also received her M.A. in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University in 2022. Toi Nichelle is a Gilman Alumni Ambassador and Alumni TIES Artist, and is a recipient of numerous scholarships. Who Said You Couldn't Do It? A Graduate Student's Roadmap is her sixth book in print.
