Toi Nichelle discovered the power of words as a child, finding healing through poetry and journaling. She began performing spoken word in 2001, sharing her gift in churches, schools, and community events. After publishing her first poetry book, Mirror to My Soul (2006), Toi’s voice continued to grow in impact. Following a life-altering jaw surgery in 2017, she stepped out on faith and entered the studio in 2022 to record her debut spoken word album, The Hush Language—a collection of poems inspired by her memoir of the same name.
